Striving for perfection is a common issue for many clients I work with when coaching. The challenge they need to come to terms with is realising that perfection is not usually necessary, as to be effective is enough.
Chasing perfection can often result in a lack of effectiveness as it can lead to procrastination, as a fear of failure can prevent ideas being implemented, action being taken or decisions being made.
